MUTEMATH IN THE STUDIO
DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL DATES CONFIRMED

New Orleans-based eclectic-rock quartet MUTEMATH
are currently in the studio recording the follow-up to their 2006 critically-embraced, self-titled debut album, which is expected early next year. Fans can view the band working on new material in the studio at: www.YouTube.com/mutemath.

In the meantime, the band has confirmed three summer dates at this year's Download 2008 Festival to preview some brand new material for fans. Stops include: San Francisco (Shoreline Amphitheatre, July 19th), Los Angeles (Gibson Amphitheatre, July 20th) and Philadelphia (Susquehanna Bank Center, August 2nd).

Over the past 18 months MUTEMATH has amassed a loyal and ever-growing audience of devotees due to their ultra-energetic and genre-defying live performances including incendiary sets at Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Warped Tour, V Festival, Voodoo Music Experience, plus various UK and European festivals. TV appearances on Letterman, Conan O'Brien, Craig Ferguson and Jimmy Kimmel Live have left an indelible impact. Their last Kimmel performance made TV history as they became first band ever to perform their single, “Typical,” song completely in reverse; still a You Tube favorite.

Accolades from the press have become commonplace. MTV's "You Hear It First" called their first single, "Typical," Anthemic and Gigantic! While Alternative Press Magazine proclaimed MUTEMATH "The Number One band to see live before die". Now’s your chance:

Sat. July 19 Shoreline Amphitheatre San Francisco, CA
Sun. July 20 Gibson Amphitheatre Los Angeles, CA
Sat. Aug 2 Susquehanna Bank Center Philadelphia, PA

Ok, so it not new news but ah, the memories! Just found this nice shot of MUTEMATH with the Jimmy Kimmel Live staff after their groundbreaking backwards performance of "Typical" some weeks back. The Hard Rock Cafe want Paul's paint-splattered shirt. Fine with Paul as says that was the last time ever he'll have to swallow another mouthful of colorful chemicals again in the name of entertainment. Massive tour news to be announced shortly.

Oops they did it again. The seemingly indefatigable MUTEMATH blow minds each time they step on stage or perform on TV. The New Orleans/Nashville quartet performed "Break The Same" live on Conan O'Brien this past Wed Oct 17, and mashed their show-ending magnum opus down to 4 action-packed, percussive minutes of pure adrenal freak-out. Fortunately, no one was injured...this time. Catch their homecoming at the Voodoo Music Experience in New Orleans on Sat Oct 27, and if you run into drummer Darren King, ask him to show you his battle scars. He will.

New Orleans manic smart-rockers MUTEMATH made TV history last night, Sep 19th, by being the first-ever band to perform on national TV...backwards. Easy. The insane idea of attempting to recreate their viral breakthrough video for the track "Typical," on TV had somehow become less of a joke and more of a reality when the fine folks at ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live agreed to risk (someone else's)life and limb to pull it off.
