June 3, 2008 (Burbank.CA) – Hyperkinetic UK rock trio, THE SUBWAYS have completed their 2nd album for Sire Records entitled “ALL OR NOTHING” scheduled for domestic release on Sep. 9, 2008. The 12-song strong album was recorded in Los Angeles last fall by venerable producer Butch Vig (Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Sonic Youth) and marks a dynamic sonic progression from their critically-embraced 2006 album debut, “YOUNG FOR ETERNITY.”

The new album, “ALL OR NOTHING,” reveals the work of a confident, revitalised band with a singular focus and a new mission statement. “We’re coming out, we’re coming over, you’re standing on the platform and we’re bringing you with us!” This time around the riffs are heavier; the drums more manic than before but the melodic sensibilities remain intact and even more infectious this time around. The lyrical perspectives and vocal performances are also a cut above to reflect their personal and professional growth and the experience of a life less ordinary touring the Globe non-stop as they have for the past few years. Yet they are all still in their early 20s. Vocalist Billy Lunn has fully recovered from career-threatening vocal chord surgery and feeling stronger and more motivated than ever as the albums title suggests. UK trio, The Subways have just finished recording their 2nd WB LP in LA last week with the King of the original mid-west punk rawk scene, Butch Vig (once produced a little record called "Nevermind" by another trio). You won't hear tunes for a while but i can tell you this one's really rockin' but not like Dokken. Don't know what they put in that chocolate-covered bacon he made us all eat (no, not kidding) but it's certainly had some sort of residual effect on their effects pedals and the volume. Should be a March baby. I'll tell you about the flaming gong incident next week but until then, here's a shot of The Subways w/ Butch just after the final note of the album was recorded. True story, ya hear?

UK poppunks THE SUBWAYS are currently in the studio with the legendary Garbage man, Butch Vig (Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, etc.) at the board. Expect the new disc in early 2008.
